Religion - A Kindergarten Story to Explain Spirituality to Man

Read about this in Chapter 5 Section 2 of the book... You may click on this link or read from the extracts reproduced below:

Extracts:

2.       'Kindergarten tales' to explain spirituality to 'Child'

In Chapter 4 (Fig. 4.4: Development Life Cycle of Common Man) we saw that the ancient common man was ignorant like a child. Religious tales are the 'kindergartner tales' devised to explain spirituality to the common man who was like a child.

We start a child's education with fairy tales in kindergarten - tales which are far from reality.  As the child grows up and goes to school and college, he is brought closer to reality through closer-to-life fiction and real life stories (Fig. 5.2).

The learned saints who knew of mental energies and spirituality, tried to impart elementary knowledge to the child (common man) through tales related to gods. These were the kindergarten tales for the "child". The tales may have been imaginary, but they conveyed the messages of spirituality. Some of these tales of god became part of religious mythology.
