I think that for those who believe in God, it is their faith in God which gives them the strength and not God himself.That is why it is said that God is within us. The concept of God and religion is a man-made tool to initiate people into spirituality. Faith gives the edge to this best available tool today. What we have not realized is that it is a double-edged sword. While religion has helped individuals, it has not benefited the world as a whole because of the hatred and killing that it has created. My Book "God in Two Minutes"
The book "God in Two Minutes" (available as ebook and print editions worldwide, click on the book image or click here for details) presents a model called "Prem Spirituality Model" for explanation of God and religion. This model was presented in an International Conference on Spirituality & Peace and is published as a paper in a journal. See Related Readings below. Of course I do not make a claim to have found an answer to the question 'What is God?'. At the same time having an answer is less important than knowing how a wrong understanding of God and religion is fostering hatred and bloodshed. It is more important to know that there is no need to divide mankind by religions, than it is to get an answer to the question. The book was first published as a short article titled "God and Religion - An Objective and Scientific Look" in sulekha.com way back in 2002. The article has a US Copyright dated 09 May 1997. An updated article was later published in Website "Bestthinking.com" in 2010. A reader at sulekha.com Rose responded with the following comment in her article titled " Politically Incorrect": "Premshankar Kamble continued the spiritual quest by proposing a new language called 'mentomatics' that would explain the mechanics of reaching the Godly zone. He likened the Godly zone to that heightened level of awareness where confidence, love, faith and hope are at their maximum making everything possible and within reach. However, the reader reaction to this article was surprisingly violent and reminded me of the reactions faced by Galileo when he first proposed the theory that the Earth revolved around the Sun." What is Mentomatics
Mentomatics is a term coined by me which is parallel to mathematics. I believe that akin to the physical space, there is a mental space. Just as mathematics helps to explain the laws of physical space, mentomatics is a field of study (yet to be developed) which will explain the spiritual and mental phenomena. Read more.... The valuable insight of original thought, much like delicate crystal, cannot be prized, possessed or gifted when it smashes unprotected against the rock of opinions. We dress up our thoughts in the armor of words and send them out to wage war amidst the politically charged world of differing opinions. To be politically incorrect is to honestly state what your opinion is without regard for repercussions. |

Ancient Myths and BeliefsIf you know stories about how old beliefs tried to explain the physical phenomena before the development of physics and mathematics, please write to me. For instance, according to old Indian belief , Lunar eclipse was explained as follows: the moon is swallowed by "Rahu". As Rahu devours the moon, more and more part of the moon disappears and sometimes the moon is completely swallowed. Hence the eclipse.
